501 Territorial Army Rejiment is one if the regiment unit under Malaysia Army Reserve Unit. There are about 13 500 series
regiment through out Malaysia and the 501 is the finest.
It was based in Johore state and consist of 3 battalion.
The personnel comes from many back ground such as teacher, engineer, government servent, social worker,ex-army,farmer etc.
The Army on 1999 has plan that this regiment to be the first Territorial Army Paratrooper regiment but as the regiment are
far from the 10th PARA Brigade HQ, plan has be be cancelled as 514 TA Regiment becomes the 1st TA PARA regiment.
Many in the reserve unit wants to be a paratrooper.Why? this is simply because they can't do it outside the army. I'm one
of the lucky bas**rd who are said to be a lucky lucy. Joint the reserve in 1999 and got my silver wing after BAC and in 2000
earned a merooned beret that put me into the elite club.
Joint several training domestic and foreign. With Malaysian PAratrooper and also with foreign paratrooper such as USA, Australia
and Indonesia.
Some of our instructor (we use to call them JL) from the regular jealouse for us. They are bastard!!!! Just because
that we are in the reserve and earned the precoius beret, they dont like us and used lot of nasty words and un civilised
act to put a pressure on us, but we ain't week.That make us feel more though and fuck them all. This not a professional soldier...they're
just a couple of village boys with a village attitude. We're 'FUCK' them all....and believe me...we won!!!!
We, 501 boys respect the 8th Rangers boys for their professional attitude. They treat us as a family. This is what all paratroopers
should do because we're AIRBORNE!!!!! You don't know what infront of you...and someday those fuck**g regular boys with that
village attitude will need us a beg for our assistant as they will die along with their motherfuck**g attitude.
